The Bethanga Bridge is a 750meter long steel truss bridge built in 1930 to carry the Riverina Highway across the then newly constructed Hume Weir. It replaced two other bridges that were about to be submerged by the rising waters of the dam.

I found this abandoned bridge during a hike through the mountains in Upper Austria. It must have been built about 100 years ago for forestry purposes and given up because it no longer withstood the weight of the modern machines... - read more -
